The landmark GST 2.0 reform simplified the tax structure by consolidating multiple slabs intothree main rates (5%, 18%, and 40%), while maintaining transitional slabs for certain categories. This reform moved many essential items to lower tax brackets to boost consumption and introduced a new 40% slab for ultra-luxury goods.
